I have just completed this 3 day course in how to make a proper, stitched (not a bit of glue in sight!) and fully lined lampshade. I am so proud of the result, we were shown how to make our lampshades to a professional standard by a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher. A very enjoyable and relaxed course, well worth the cost!
I have just completed yet another CASS course and it was just as fantastic as the others (see my other reviews!) We learnt how to make perfect cushions with piping, zipped and buttoned and also how to make sure your pattern matches on both sides of your cushion. We also learnt how to make them without 'ears' which is much nicer than anything you can buy in the shops! This is a really good course and is a good starting point if you have basic sewing machine skills and you want to expand on them.
This course is a must for anyone wanting to learn how to make beautiful handmade fully lined curtains to a Professional standard. The course was over 3 full days and we went through how to measure up, making the curtains and fitting. Very detailed hand outs are given out and I made lots of notes that I refer to all the time, the tutor is very friendly and is a wealth of information and experience I cannot recommend her courses enough, I've signed up for more! By the end I have a sample curtain which I show my clients so they can see the different types of hand sewn pleats. If you want to learn how to make curtains properly this is the course to do!

I did this course in the summer, the tutor is excellent and has extensive expertise, the course itself is intensive but covers everything you need to know to make a fully working lined Roman blind from measuring, making up and fitting it is all covered. We even learnt about pattern matching and how to buy the right amount of fabric. This course is a must for anyone who wants to make their own Roman Blinds to industry standard in a fun and supportive environment. I definitely recommend this course!
