I would definitely London Academy of IT's Python intensive program. I wanted to learn python as I have around 2.5 years experience programming in another language (Java) and I hoped to learn another language whilst following the correct programming practices for the language (which may not be taught online properly). Priyanka and Jayan definitely taught correct programming practices and gave a lot of exercises. They corrected me immediately when they saw me using programming practices specific to Java, in python. The class sizes were small, so these errors were picked up very quickly when they went around the class. This early correction prevented problems later on. The course went at a fast pace, so even though I had programming experience, I learnt a lot from the beginners course and I learnt even more when I enrolled onto the Intermediate course as part of the immersive package. If you are new to programming, this course may be a bit hard for you, but if you go over the activities in your own time and are determined, then this would not be a problem for you. The lecturers are very knowledgeable and solve bugs immediately. I would give LAIT 5*'s 🙂
If you want someone to read 36 slides to you in poor English then this course is for you. The tutor had no clue over an above what was written in these slides. Extremely poor explaining skills. My complete hard copy of the slides have reminders for me to go home and google what most of 'terms' in the copy mean. Utter waste of money and waste of my annual leave too. Very very unhappy. Basic questions could not be answered by the tutor.
I think it was good introduction to PHP and the tutor was very helpful. 5 stars
The course was fantastic it was just what I wanted the tutor was very helpful and willing to help both myself and others The premises although not particularly comfortable were very suitable for the task We learnt a considerable amount about CSS and SEO and HTML I was a little put off by needing to bring my own lap top (borrow) free tea and coffee was very good The cost of the course was excellent at only £60 for the whole day and it was a sunday
