They really deserve no stars at all. Here's my story: I enrolled onto the two-year BTEC Level 3 Engineering Course at the Southgate Campus at the end of 2016, after being assured it was accompanied by AS Level Mathematics in the first year. When classes began, it quickly became apparent that the course organizers had absolutely no clue what they were doing. Over the first two weeks they gave us something like four different versions of our timetable because they couldn't lock it down, and even after that up until the end of the first year, the lessons were rarely where the final timetable said they'd be. For the first month, we had two problems with one of our teachers; Firstly, he spoke very little English, and secondly, he'd been drafted in to teach us a CAD unit because they couldn't find a CAD teacher, meaning what little he COULD say to us was utterly useless anyway. They finally got rid of him once we complained, and replaced him with someone who actually knew what they were doing, and then two weeks later replaced HIM with someone who either doesn't or is just incredibly lazy. Note the change in tenses; it means we're still being "taught" by him over a year later. Skipping through most of the carnage of the first year, ninety percent of what I learned for the assignments, I learned online. We quickly realized you don't need teachers for BTEC Level 3 Engineering, and you don't need to attend the classes to get a Distinction, but you do for AS Mathematics, so I suppose it's a good thing the one competent teacher was our maths teacher, although of course, if you picked up on my foreshadowing at the start of this rant, you'll have realized that that didn't last. Coming into our second year, we found out they'd completely cancelled the A Level Mathematics Course at our campus, leaving many of us stranded after receiving C grades and above in AS. This wouldn't be so bad if they'd warned us beforehand so we could arrange to register onto a maths course at another campus, but of course, they didn't. I personally found out I was no longer an A Level Maths student when I looked at my timetable for this year and saw the subject just wasn't there. When I asked my course director about it, he shrugged and indirectly told me to eff off, before promptly retiring three weeks later. So, to summarize: Teachers are lazy and unhelpful. Administration is a mess. Useless as a stepping stone to University. Stay away.
If there was an option to put a 0 stars I would. Unfortunately I can't. It was an absolutely disaster. The management at WoodStreet Barnet for the Radiography Access were appalling. It took them 6 weeks to find cover for an English teacher who decided to leave during the course. We were called to come back in (AFTER) the course had finished and we got given an exam with no preparation or warning because THEY had forgotten. A module had to be covered in three hours with an assignment required to be completed within a week as they'd "missed" it out and realised too late. As a result, many people failed, the majority didn't get university places , all because of the lack of organisation. DO not join this course if you wan't to succeed at university.
I go to college Monday to Friday. I expected the course content to be complex and very dense and it is.

Useful course, especially if studied p/t and you're working in a relevant job during the day.
Nasty dirty purpose built college. Toilets are the nastiest come the evening classes. Cafe VERY expensive, with little choice. But the lecturers are helpful, and they buy the text books in; so no problem getting them.Student life
The students vary as much as they do in any place of work. The lecturers were all friendly & helpful.
The course is standard AQA with very reasonable price. You can pay in easy instalments as well.
College provides the most of the course material. College is fully equipped with all modern facilities, like library, IT lab and cafe.Student life
The students are from all walks of life and from many different origins. So you have enjoy rich cultural experience.
Studying in travel and tourism has opened my up to realise that this is the industry i learned everything from incoming, domestics, tour operating, etc... Learning all these different sections of the industry has opened many doors for me. I learned a lot from the course however it would have been much more useful if there was a part in computer areas.
I'd say the classrooms were very standard however there were many rooms located around the college where we were able to work in a quiet environment.Student life
I did look forward to going to class as I knew tourism is what I wanted to do. My college had a mix of people: men and women of all ages and ethnic backgrounds which makes the college welcoming for all. The only downfall about the college is the canteen and the common room areas..also there isn't much college acitivites.
