At ULearn College our mission is to be a “competitive provider of educational courses. To be recognised as an exciting college improving the opportunities of businesses, communities and individuals.”

We aim to help everyone in Wales on their learning journey towards employment, education or training.

Monmouthshire & Charter Housing - A 12 week Beauty Therapy Programme for 8 young students who were not in Education, Employment or Training (NEETs). With the overall outcome of enabling the candidates to seek employment, further education or starting their own business. During this programme all 8 students successfully gained a Beauty Qualification and a Level 2 BTEC Award in WorkSkills covering units such as: Career progression and Building Working Relationships with Customers.

Communities First and the Jasmine Centre - Providing ongoing employability training, along with basic Health & Safety in the Workplace. This is an ongoing project providing training for students with a diverse background, including NEETs, Young Adults and Ethnic Minorities. These short courses enable the candidates to progress and gain a recognised certificate in an industry that they wish to start a business or gain employment in such as; Beauty Therapy, Sports Leadership, Leadership & management, Catering, and Health & Safety.

Butetown Employment and Support Centre (BEST Centre) - On-going project delivering Beauty Therapy, BTEC WorkSkills and a Home Cookery course written by Jamie Oliver.

Cardiff 3rd Sector Council – Delivering a Sports Leadership Qualification to unemployed adults, working with Neville Southall ex-welsh goalkeeper. With the aim to provide all students with Personal Development Skills, such as; confidence, leadership, coaching & mentoring and team working.

Are you considering a Community Work training programme? We have many options available to you, such as short courses, bespoke programmes and NVQ’s. View our section on Bespoke Courses, or call us for more information and our dedicated team can help you decide what courses are best suited to your needs or we can write a specialised programme for you.

For some of these learners it may be the first taste of training or education that they have undertaken in their adult life, therefore the skills obtained by attending these courses (i.e. confidence, behaviours and attitudes that employers are looking for) set them up to progress further in their chosen path.
