Kirklees College, based in Yorkshire, is one of the biggest further education institutions in the country and as such they are well equipped to provide students with a top class education. With 98% of our students passing their courses last year, Kirklees College offers one of the best learning experiences in the region.

We offer different levels of study from full time school leavers to university graduates, foundation learners to adult learners, apprentices and much more.

We also offer many courses across a range of different areas including:

animal care, art and design, business, childhood studies, computing, construction, engineering, hair and beauty, health and social, hospitality and catering, motor vehicle, music, media and performing arts, public services, science, sport, travel and tourism amongst many more.


We have a great range of facilities to take advantage of at Kirklees College, from our impressive library services in our Learning Resource Centres to our state of the art gym at our Huddersfield Centre.

Find a quiet place to study and find books in our Learning Resource Centres, grab a bite to eat with your friends in our college restaurants, keep yourself in shape with our state of the art gym or even pamper yourself with nail treatments or tans from our hair and beauty students.

Open days

Open days at Kirklees College are a great opportunity for you to find out exactly what we are all about.

At the Huddersfield Centre there will be practical demonstrations such as displays of work, quizzes, problem solving tasks and have your photo taken in our free fun photo booth.

At Dewsbury you can get tea, coffee and cakes in our Rumbling Tums café, run by Foundation students.

Batley School of Art will be participating in The Big Draw – the World’s biggest drawing festival which has the theme ‘Every line tells a story’.

Fees & funding

Students who are aged 18 or under on the 31 August 2014 do not pay any tuition or exam registration fees.

How to Apply\ Enrol

Applications are processed based on the centre you have applied for.

It is important on your application form we can see your personal contact details, the centre, course and level you are applying for, your current school/training provider and any support you may need.

If you’re still in education then you need to hand the form back to school for them to complete their section. They will then send this to us.
