Yadigar came to the UK from Turkey 10 years ago, after marrying and having two children she went to university to study for an arts degree, here she realised she wanted to become a teacher. To improve her English Yadigar came to CALAT and enrolled on an ESOL course and achieved her Level 1. She then needed to gain a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths and knew where she would go to get what she needed. ‘CALAT have been so helpful and understanding. They could see what I was capable of achieving where I could not so I am very happy that I am going to realise my dream of being a teacher’.
