Web Design and Authoring (Basic Programming):

This course is aimed at anyone who is setting up a website or developing web content as well as those interested in getting a better understanding of the many technologies used to deliver web content.

The course will cover: Getting started with PHP and MySql; PHP; SQL; JavaScript and JQuery. Additional web authoring modules include: Web Developer Coding Tools; HTML5 and CSS Fundamentals and Web Development / Testing Server.

The course includes continual assessments throughout the course with both practical and quiz exercises. Course certificates of completion are provided. On completion, you can progress onto Further Microsoft IT certification courses like ‘Database Certification Track’ including SQL Server 2012 / 2014 or Microsoft IT certification courses like ‘MTA Developer Track’.

Additional entry requirements

Learners must be over 19. There are no prerequisites for this course; however some course modules require prior knowledge or completion of other modules in the ‘Web Design and Authoring’. Delegates should have some technical experience, a working knowledge of the Windows operating environment and be familiar with the concepts and use of the Internet. Some HTML knowledge would be helpful although not essential.
