This work-based qualification is aimed at learners who are working in early learning and childcare, social care, learning development and support services.
Gaining a QCF Level 2 qualification is suitable for those working as an assistant in a children’s centre, nursery or playgroup, care worker, youth and community worker or registered childminder or nanny.
Children and Young People’s Workforce is designed for people who wish to work in the childcare sector. It is an ideal qualification for those looking to take the first step towards a career with children as a nursery assistant, crèche worker, playgroup assistant, childminder or nanny. Anyone working or planning to work in a range of childcare occupations needs to obtain the relevant qualification approved by Ofqual, the qualifications regulator. To work in a supervised capacity requires a Level 2 competence qualification for which this course is purpose designed.
