Introduction to blogging with WordPress
by Elaine - March 2019

This was a very intensive day with a lot to cover but the tutor (10 March 2019) was well organised and covered the material in a logical and comprehensive way. A fire evacuation drill just after the start was a bit tough in a one-day course but we caught up well. I think that inevitably, much of the learning goes on after the course by playing with the various features at home. If someone was fairly novice in word processing and generally navigating round sites, this would be too much of a challenge I think - a good introduction but would need some follow-up instruction afterwards. Would it work better as a two-day course, perhaps a week or so apart, to allow for practice and then being able to resolve queries on return? That's the only reason I've knocked off a star - great teaching and content! Many thanks.

Radio presenting: beginners
by Safeera - January 2018

I spent a lot of time deciding where to take a radio presenting course and was no disappointed with the beginners course at City Lit. My tutor was patient, friendly and offered wonderful feedback at the end of every playback of our recordings and the overall group was very supportive. I would definitely recommend this course. The tutor has substantial experience in radio presenting and broadcast journalism and the atmosphere is calming for those who may be a little nervous too.
