Photography Intermediate & Adobe Photoshop - Intermediate:

In this course, you will learn to develop your photographic and camera skills and see how Adobe Photoshop (the industry standard digital imaging software) can take your photography further. This course is aimed at people engaged in developing their hobby or who want to take their own photographs and enhance them in Adobe Photoshop to promote their small businesses. This course is also suitable for those considering a career change. There will be weekly projects on different subjects on a simple step by step basis. The course covers:

  • How to use your digital compact or SLR camera to take well composed and exposed photographs.
  • How to plan your photography with Adobe Photoshop software before you take a single photograph.
  • How to use Adobe Photoshop software to enhance your selected photographs.
  • How to prepare your photographs for prints, desktop publishing, websites and social media.

This course is aimed at students who are already involved in photography, graphic design, web design, art or illustration or are thinking of a career change. After completing this course students can further progress to Adobe Illustrator (for logos, graphics and illustrations), Adobe Photoshop (for digital imaging) and Adobe InDesign (for desktop publishing).

Additional entry requirements

No formal qualifications are required. Students are required to have basic computer and digital camera usage skills.
