Photography - How to Photograph Your Own Art/Craft Work [EDF6310G]: Overview
This course will give you a basic understanding of how to improve your photographic approach when photographing your art/craft work using a camera.
This course is for any camera user (D-SLR, Bridge camera, CMS camera and mobile phone camera)
What will we cover?
Understanding how to achieve a correct colour balance in your photos.
How to work with lights (daylight and artificial lights) to enhance the shapes, lines and colours of your art/craft work.
Understanding basic ‘rules’ to achieve a better composition when photographing your work
Discussion of resolution for final presentation of the images to use for various presentations. There will be opportunities to take photos indoor (and outdoor, weather permitting)
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
This course is suitable for anyone with a camera who wishes to improve their photographic skills when photographing their art/craft work. No skills with any type of camera is required, just a willingness to learn. You will need to bring your own camera and/or mobile phone camera and instruction booklets.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
3-5 pieces of your own art and/or craft work to practice photographing.
Any digital camera you have and/or your mobile phone with a camera. If you have a tablet with a camera you can bring that along too.
A tripod and any photographic gadgets for camera and or mobile phone camera.
Roll of foil, a cardboard box, stainless blade to cut the cardboard.
Notebook and pen. Battery charger for camera and your mobile phone.
Dress for outdoor, as we (if weather permits) will go outside.

What can I do when I finish the course?
Other one-day courses are offered by Surrey Adult Learning. Longer photography courses (beginners/improvers/flash photography). Courses in digital imaging using Adobe Photoshop Elements are offered by Surrey Adult Learning
