Photography - Be More Creative with Your Camera [LEF2054G]: Overview
Learn and continue to develop ways to be more creative by getting familiar with your cameras settings and minimizing time in front of the computer, trying to improve your images.
What will we cover?
This course will help you to familiarise yourself with the functions and features of your digital camera. Further develop the use of manual and automatic settings to achieve different effects. Understand how to use compose your pictures more successfully There may be opportunities to take photos indoor and outdoor, weather permitting. There will be a series of ‘theme-based’ assignments that will be set at the start of the course. These will be ‘Field Trips’ within the 10 week course to practice and hone your skills ‘on location’
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
This course is suitable for those who have attended a beginners course in photography or who have some knowledge of your camera, but want to develop and maximise its use

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
You will need your own Digital camera with a memory card and the instruction booklet. If you have got a tripod bring that along. Please ensure that the batteries are fully charged, and bring your battery charger as well. A notebook and pen is advisable. Your tutor will be able to give you impartial advice as to purchasing additional equipment. Course notes are usually provided digitally, so it is helpful to have an email address they can be sent to. What can I do when I finish the course?
Surrey Adult Learning offer courses in digital imaging using Adobe Photoshop Elements. You may progress to joining a camera club or wish to study further for a qualification in further or higher education.
