This course will cover the following topics: Unit 01 Planning an Event; Unit 02 Event Review and Evaluation; Unit 03 Market Research and Marketing Methods in Event Planning; Unit 04 Human Resource Planning at Events and Unit 05 Communication and Customer Service at Events. Learners will work on different tasks and variety of assessment methods will be used to assess learners' achievements such as worksheets, case studies, assignments, reports, peers assessments, witness testimony etc.
Each learner is required to create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all learning outcomes. Learner must complete the portfolio (NCFE Log) with various assessments (e.g. Presentation, case studies, reports, role plays, posters etc). Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to Level 3 Principles of Event Management or Level 3 Organising Conference, Leisure or Hospitality Events.
Learners should be 16 or over to undertake this qualification. They will need 4 subjects at GCSE 'Grade D'- where Maths and English must be two out of those 4 subjects or New Maths and English GCSE's grading criteria equivalent of 3.
