Join us and participate and perform in all aspects of dance while preparing for higher education or vocational dance courses.

You will study the following mandatory units: Investigating practitioners’ work; Developing skills and techniques for live performance; Group performance workshop; Performing arts in the community; Individual performance commission; Final live performance to an audience and Employment opportunities in the performing arts.

You will also undertake optional units, which could include: Tap dance technique; Contemporary dance technique; Improvisation; Movement in performance and Choreography for live performance. Our interest in historical and contemporary dance works will see you learning and performing choreographed pieces you devise yourself. Enriching this creativity will be guest lecturers and trips to professional dance works.

Live performance is key – at venues and events across our local community: St Albans Fashion Week, Watersmeet Theatre, Peace Hospice, Watford Palace Theatre, Local schools and Intu Watford.
