The apprenticeship is aimed at managers operating at level 5, who play an integral role in setting and supporting organisational objectives through a wide range of functions, with responsibility for operations, resources, implementation of change, managing people, budgets and information, to develop their management skills and knowledge.
What You Will Study
CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management & Leadership.
This course is taught in college over an academic year.
Modules studied include:
• Managing Team and Individual Performance
• Organisational Financial Management
• Managing Recruitment, Selection and Induction
• Meeting Stakeholder and Quality Needs
• Conducting a Marketing Plan.
ILM Level 5 (NVQ) Diploma in Management and Leadership.
Learners study four mandatory units which cover contributing to a strategic plan, designing a business process, managing strategic change, and leadership. Students then choose from a diverse range of optional units to complete the qualification, tailoring their learning to meet their individual and organisational needs.
Employee Rights and Responsibilities Workbook
This requirement may be met through the achievement of Level 2 functional skills, equivalent GCSEs, O Levels, A Levels or AS Levels, or an initial assessment which demonstrates the required ability. It is expected that level 5 higher apprentices will have significant experience of working at a middle management level, to ensure they have the suitable foundations on which to further build their knowledge and skills.
