Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service Course Information Sheet 2018-2019 Course Title: Hand dye and Print a bag Saturday 16th March .00 - 14.00 Venue: Queens Road Learning Centre This course could lead to employment, self-employment or skills for future employment. Who is the course for? This course is for learners interested in gaining an understanding of hand dyeing and printing. The finished products can be used by themselves, be given as a gift or sold. The skills gained on the course may progress to higher levels of dyeing or printing. Do you gain any qualifications? No - this course is not accredited. Do you need to be interviewed or assessed before enrolling on the course? No What will you learn? Health and safety as it relates to the processes Create a hand-dyed bag Blend and mix colours Create a stencil and screen-print a bag Develop your own ideas Essential equipment and resources Plastic bag to take your work home Note book and pen to make notes Disposable gloves (useful if you have an allergy to products) What next? You could progress onto another craft course, please speak to the tutor or look on the website for current courses Felt Jewellery Saturday 18th May .00 ? 15.00 (1 week) Your learning centre On the first day of your course, please report to the centre to be directed to your classroom. Do arrive in good time for your course, however, please be aware that entry before 9am will be refused at all our centres. Queens Road Learning Centre: has well-equipped classrooms that are located on the second floor of the building. There are stairs and a lift that lead up to the second floor. Toilets can be found on all floors. The canteen where learners will be able to purchase light refreshments or lunch, is located on the ground floor. It is open from 10am - 2pm, Monday - Friday. The canteen is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Tea/coffee making facilities will be available on Saturdays, Sundays and during evening classes from Mondays to Thursdays. The centre has no car parking facilities and on street parking is very limited. There is a stand near the entrance to which you may secure your bicycle. All vehicles are left at the owners? risk. Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service does not accept responsibility for theft or any parking fines incurred.
