Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
Stage 3 and Stage 3+ are for learners who can hold a simple conversation and follow basic directions and instructions. You will learn to express your likes and dislikes and give simple opinions. You will also use a range of tenses.
For guidance on choosing the right course, please complete a self-assessment form (available on the Surrey Adult Learning website and from the Customer Service Team), which will give an indication of the stage you are at in the language.
New learners are welcome to join Terms 2 & 3 provided they are the right level for the course. If you have any questions, please ask the Customer Service Team for advice.
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
Please bring a notepad and pen. A ring-binder for storing handouts is recommended.
Course books, if required, typically cost £15 - £30 and can be used for more than one term / year. This will be discussed at the first session. You may also wish to purchase additional study aids such as CDs, workbooks, dictionaries and grammar books, which are optional.
