Geography (GCSE):

Geography GCSE will allow you the opportunity to develop your communication skills as well as your graphical, cartographical and ICT skills. You will be able to improve your interpersonal skills through debate and discussion as well as your problem solving skills in the coursework element.

Additional entry requirements

You must have a Grade 3 or GCSE Grade D in English language (and be re-sitting English at college) and preferably a Grade 3 or GCSE Grade D in Maths, or be on an A-Level programme. Previous study of Geography is not necessary. You should have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for the study of global topical issues and the world around you, together with the initiative and capacity to study hard, both as a part of a group and individually. You need to have the self-discipline and motivation to undertake the data collection, research and writing required in the course and which will be applied to the coursework unit.
