This qualification has been developed to improve food hygiene practices in a catering environment. It is particularly suitable for those learners who intend to or are already working in catering in a role where they will be responsible for handling and preparing food.
The course will cover: Understanding how individuals can take personal responsibility for food safety; Importance of personal hygiene; Identify the importance of keeping work areas clean and hygienic; Safe working practices when keeping food safe; Food Pests and Control; Food safety management and temperature controls and Food Safety Enforcement. On completion, you can progress onto Level 3 Supervising Food Safety in Catering.
