First Peoples - Afternoon:

Stolen Continents: European engagement with America, Australia and New Zealand

In these two classes we will look at the process of colonisation over two and half centuries. We will examine the indigenous societies prior to the arrival of Europeans, the justification for colonisation given by Europeans.

Following this we will look at the development of colonisation in the three different location: Australia, New Zealand, America and conclude with a look at the present state of Indigenous people in all three locations.
