Course description

Emergency First Aid at Work open access courses in Warrington, Cheshire (Level 2 QCF Award) in Warrington:

Qualify as a workplace first aider on the Level 2 (QCF) Emergency First Aid at Work course. Fully HSE recognised as it's a regulated award.

The course lasts one day and will also meet the requirements for a holder to act as an Appointed Person. Meeting the Approved Code of Practise & Guidance (L74) for workplace first aid.

You will learn:

Role of the first aider, equipment, recording incidents and actions.
Importance of basic hygiene.
Act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency.
Unconscious and/or in seizure.
Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Wounded or bleeding and/or in shock.
Choking.

Asseessment will be by observation of skills and a 20 question - multiple choice test paper.

Additional entry requirements

Over 16 years, capable of basic theory and practical work including floor based work. Wear practical clothes and no heavy make up.
