This course aims to provide an introduction to the social and economic history of the English Country House in the 18th and 19th Centuries. It will examine the lives of those who lived in these great houses. This course provides an introduction to the English Country House and the people who lived in them.
By the end of the course I should be able to: Identify the principal features of country houses; Analyse the statements about status which country houses make; Identify the key ways in which the owners of country houses used them.
No skills or experience needed. This course is suitable for beginners and improvers.

Comfortable atmosphere created by tutors . All students were sensitively encouraged and helped when needed . Location ok but room was sometimes too cold
