This regulated qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to work as a door supervisor. It will also provide you with the skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA license in this field.

Subjects covered include behavioral standards, legislation relevant to the role, search procedures, powers of arrest, recording incidents and crime scene preservation, reducing risk, conflict management, communicating effectively and physical intervention.

Additional entry requirements

This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 18 and over. Language pre-requisite: Security operatives are likely, in the course of their work, to be required to make calls to the emergency services, and communicate clearly to resolve conflict. It is therefore essential that security operatives are able to communicate clearly. Centres must ensure that learners have sufficient language skills before putting the learners forward for assessment.
