Advanced Digital SLR: This course is suitable for those who have already completed the level 2 Certificate in Photography or have a good level of photographic experience. If you are unsure of the level you are currently working at, please contact the course tutor.
The course will explore a variety of different genres to help you improve your photographic skills. Image editing will also be looked at to enable you to get the most from your images. There will be an option at the end of the course for you to submit a portfolio of images to the Royal Photographic Society. If your submission is successful, you will be awarded Licentiate Membership of the Society.
Your tutor will teach you by lecture/discussion, demonstration, handouts and one-to-one help when appropriate. There will be a series of workshops to attend some of which will be at the weekend.
You will need a DSLR camera and tripod. The following lenses will be useful: telephoto, macro and wide angle. A polariser and ND filters will also be used.

Additional entry requirements
You should be able to read handouts and follow verbal instructions independently. You should also be dexterous (able to hold and use equipment).
