Great for Beginners

This course is great for beginners. I have had a DSLR camera for a year now and have only been shooting in auto mode. This course has given me the tools I need to start shooting in manual while also making use of the other camera functions.

Great course!

Dominic is a great teacher and I leart a lot. I would prefer to have the couse once a week (instead all the course in a week) to have more time to experiment and develope the projects, but I liked it anyway and found it really useful. The methodology was also good (Dominic helped each of us separately during the exercises, we commented others projects, he gave us useful web links and we also learnt about great typographers and designers.). We also had a pause of 10min per hour so we could grab a coffee or just give our eyes a break.

Best Practice after the Shoot
4 5
Hotcourses
by Matthew - May 2016

This is an excellent course for anyone who has embraced digital photography but is totally dumbfounded on how to both organise your output and edit that material. Having a grasp of either one without the other can be an eventual catastrophe once the skills and awareness this course offers are realised plus 10,000 files later. While not strictly photography, understanding how to organise your work and where not to place files is as critical as any other skill once your have finished your shoot. Many details that are often taken for granted are raised and made explicit and examples of good habits illustrated that taking numerous elementary Photoshops either take for granted or never raise. The instructor is clear, knowledgeable, eloquent and enthusiastic...which makes what could be a very dry and technical topic interesting and approachable.

Debbie is a brilliant teacher and it careful to go at the speed of the group. She puts in extra time and is always very well prepared. I just wish the course could have been longer!

Editorial Styling & Creative Direction
by Sofia - April 2016

Today it was my last day and I left the class more than happy to have gone through this experience. Before starting the course I wasn't sure it was a good idea attending a short course because I thought I wouldn't have been able to learn that much in just 3 weeks, however I did learn a lot of things, or, at least, more than I expected. For sure, a short course can't turn you into a professional, but it gives you a strong insight of the field you want to work in and also all the fundamentals you need to know. The teacher was amazing, he filled all my doubts and answered all my questions joyfully. He was extremely good at teaching and encouraged my passion, my creativity and my curiosity.
