Microsoft Office Training and IT
Souters is a Certified Microsoft Academy, which enables us to offer up to the date and internationally recognised Microsoft Office Courses. This enables us to issue Microsoft Certiport Examinations which are internationally recognised and issued from Microsoft themselves.
Souters has their own purpose equipped premises in London EC4, which contains an IT training centre and a conventional training room. All of the computer systems are state of the art which enables to simulate a modern work environment.
In particular, our Microsoft Excel Training has been popular with people at all level and across the UK.
Our IT training is available either in classroom environment, with tutors, or online with a virtual tutor. Both training methods have a high level of success and can be chosen according to your preferences.
Supplementary Skills for PAs and Administrators
Our aim is to provide PAs, Office Managers and Administrators with a rounded training programme. This has led to us adding a range of supplementary courses to develop key skills. These include Minute Taking Workshops, Business Written Communication Courses, Projects for PAs, Event Management, Virtual Assistant Courses and much more. Typing and Audio Typing courses are also available.
Legal Secretarial Training
Our centre is highly regarded in the legal industry, which is demonstrated by our accreditation with CILEx, the industry standard for legal support staff training.
We also offer CPD Accredited Legal Secretary Courses. These are delivered in a live classroom environment by qualified lawyers. It is a well respected qualification that enables people looking to start a Legal Careers to commence their new careers quickly.
Souters is also accredited by the Law Society for provision of CPD training directly to solicitors.
Bookkeeping, Accounting and Finance Training
Souters is also accredited by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, the AAT and the CPD. This bears testament to our good reputation in bookkeeping and accounting training. Our CPD Accredited Bookkeeping Course and Bookkeeping Diploma are extremely popular courses that prepare students for successful careers in Finance. Many companies have opted for this course to train up their Finance staff in the fundaments of Bookkeeping and Finance. The course is taught by a Chartered Accountant in a workshop environment in London.
We are accredited by the AAT, which is an internationally recognised qualfiication. We are able to offer a range of AAT Courses, including the very popular AAT Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping, AAT Level 1 Award in Computerised Accounting and the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping. All of our AAT Courses are classroom taught, we offer full-time and part-time training courses. Our speciality is a very high pass rate for our students and short, intensive courses. This enables students to gain the skills and qualifications needed to gain employment in Finance. The courses are delivered by Chartered Accountants.
We are also accredited by the ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers), this is classroom taught in London or taken by Distance Learning. The ICB Courses have seen high pass rates and the qualification is well-recognised in Finance and Bookkeeping.
All of the courses can be taken in live classroom formats by our financial specialist, a Chartered Accountant. Our Bookkeeping training can also be taken on a distance learning basis.
Business Skills and Projects
Souters specialist business courses are CPD Accredited and excellent means of gaining a wider range of skills or changing careers. We have classroom taught courses Project Management, Human Resources, Event Management, Payroll, Social Media, Management Skills and much more. All of these areas have PA and Office Manager focussed version available to be taken.
Due to our teaching staff range of skills and high levels of qualifications, we are able to offer bespoke training to anyone who needs specialised training. These training programs will be written personally for yourselves. Corporate bookings can opt to have the training program held at their venue, if it is preferred.
Souters offers students 0% Finance in order to manage payment of course fees. This interest free finance enables students to pay for courses in small monthly instalments. Please contact our offices for more details of this option.
I have booked the typing course with Souters. It has helped a lot, as I had no experience typing. Sadly I do not work on the computer every day, so the time I was given to complete to course and sit an exam was unachievable. Very kindly I got an extra time to practise with no extra charge. I hope I will be able to improve my skills to pass the exam in the future.
I found the course useful overall, however there are some elements that I feel could be improved. One of the course attendees failed to turn up but advised that they would arrive later- this resulted in a delay to our start date (due to start at 10.30am but actually started at 10.50am), I understand that this is down to an attendee and not the trainer, however I think we should have started regardless. There was a large amount of general information in the course, I think it would be useful to go into more depth in order to gain a better understanding, however this would mean starting the course earlier (and on time) or potentially spreading the course over two days. The entire course was read from a booklet- I find it useful to have hard copies of the content, however I feel that a PowerPoint presentation would be more beneficial and engaging.
