Location

Newcastle is the regional capital of the North East and renowned as one of the best cities for students in the UK. A vibrant student population and a warm and friendly atmosphere make it popular with students from far and wide.

Newcastle and Gateshead are connected by the stylish and innovative Millennium Bridge, an eye-catching sight and a pleasant way to cross the Tyne to the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art and The Sage in Gateshead. For an interesting day out of college, why not visit the International Centre for Life, just moments from our Rye Hill Campus.

Student story

Jon Kirkwood
FdA Editorial and News Media Design

I attended a college open day and everyone seemed so friendly and helpful. Choosing the right course is really important, and the tutors really helped to explain what the course was about. I chose my course primarily because of my love for layout and typography and it provided the best platform to develop my skills in that area. There have been plenty of opportunities to work on live briefs, which is one of the college’s strengths. I think it’s vital to get this kind of experience before you enter the work place.

I really feel like I actually want to be here from day to day rather than have to be and have learnt and developed more as a person. It’s been the best educational experience I’ve ever had.
