Our students say...
Anita Singh is studying Level 3 Digital Musician course at Kensington and Chelsea College. The ambitious music student joined the College to sharpen her skills but soon found she was also making valuable contacts in the music industry thanks to her tutors.
Anita said "I really enjoy studying at Kensington and Chelsea College as it feels like I'm part of a close-knit community. Everybody mingles with each other even if they aren't on the same course. It's easy to make friends here. Our classes aren't very big either so I feel like I get more one-to-one attention - which is brilliant. Kensington and Chelsea College is a great place to develop your skills, whatever course you're on. The tutors really go the extra mile to help us. I've been lucky enough to get my tutor on board to help produce several of my music tracks so that it sounds more professional when I send them out. It's hard to find places where you get that level of support on your course."

Design Student: Dennis Groenhuysen
Design student Dennis Groenhuysen is studying Level 3 Professional Development for Design Makers course after progressing from his BTEC Level 3 Art and Design - Ceramics course at the college. The talented designer was one of three students from the college who beat hundreds of entries nationally to win a competition hosted by the V&A this year. The prestigious win led to his work being exhibited in the world renowned museum.
"I really enjoy being at the college. For me what sets the college out from others is the understanding of the tutors. They are in tune with their students' abilities and know exactly how to bring out the best in people. I've always had extremely good support, every step of the way on my course. My tutors have always been there for me", says Dennis.
Continuing, he says: "I think it's fantastic that the college gives students access to some great opportunities like the V&A competition. Since starting my design course I haven't looked back and have only great things to say about what can be achieved through education. The college is an inspiring place to study because of the talented tutors and friendly environment. I've made some really good friends!"
Hairdressing student Adam Csoka, said: "Because it's a smaller college I feel like I get more personal attention in class. The tutors always have time to listen to us and help us. Without meaning to sound corny, it feels more like you're part of a family than a college."
Access to Humanities and Social Sciences student Miles Ahad said: "The course is only as good as the tutors. It's all down to their excellent teaching and support. As well as learning about the subject, I also developed my communication skills thanks to the class seminars and presentations. The course has also made me more confident in myself and my abilities. The college experience and tutors, including support staff, have been excellent. They have really helped me fulfil my dreams of going to university."
Childcare student Lisa Johnson, said: "The course was fantastic. I met lots of great people from all different cultures and backgrounds. We were all there for the same reason and that was to learn and to better ourselves. My tutor was a fantastic support, always offering advice and explaining things so that we could all understand. She taught in different styles too so it was never boring. I would leave the classroom wanting more! If I ever needed help the tutor or assessor were only an email away, they were so supportive and made you feel valued and that anything is possible."
Photography Student Gokhan Tanriover, said: "The course at the college was perfect for me as it ensured I was technically proficient, helped me explore the artistic side of photography, and taught me how to earn a living as photographer. I've learnt so much through the course and can really see the improvement in the quality of my photos."
