Gurnam has studied a wide range of courses in recent years, including Sage accounting, Book-keeping, Neuro-linguistic Programming and fitness classes such as Yoga and Reiki.
'All the classes have been so useful,' she said. 'One of my favourites was the Neuro-linguistic Programming - I didn’t realise the impact it would have on my life – it’s been so positive! I made some good friends on the course and it’s great to have like-minded people to boost you along life’s journey. I started with Setting & Reaching Your Goals in 2001 and I have enjoyed learning with HACE every year since. This year I’m studying Life Coaching and Advanced Excel, and I’ve just completed a Life Coaching Workshop.'
Gurnam is keen to progress. 'I am thinking of doing Cookery next term, and my tutor has put me forward for the new computing ITQ course.'
