All classes are packed with know-how and designed for students to reach a level of excellence in a short space of time which makes them real value for money. Cherry – 21
Cherry was debating whether to go to University to study Fashion, but felt what she was really interested in was a thorough technical training rather than designing. When she found us, she chose to do all of our professional Garment Construction and Pattern Cutting classes. She really focussed on building up her skills instead of investing in a 3 year degree. Cherry proved to be one of our hardest working and accomplished students, and achieved a work placement at Julien Macdonald, working on their collection for Fashion Week, after they contacted us looking for skilled interns. Cherry impressed the team at Julien Macdonald so much she was asked to stay, and is currently a seamstress with the studio.
“I would thoroughly recommend Fashion Antidote to anybody thinking of learning to sew and to anybody, like myself, who isn't a beginner but wants to further their knowledge. All the courses I did here I absolutely loved, they taught me so much. The tutors really know their stuff and are extremely patient when it comes to demonstrating and teaching different skills. There is an equal balance of one-on-one teaching and group sessions, which makes it perfect for asking about any techniques you struggle with personally and for learning new things together. It's thanks to Fashion Antidote that I am now working as an assistant seamstress in a designer fashion house, so I couldn't speak more highly of everyone there.”
