Learning at EFC

Making the most of the opportunities open to every student is at the heart of the College’s mission.

Teachers, tutors and other support staff are all dedicated to ensuring students achieve their learning goals both at College and with advice & guidance for furthering education and career paths.

Students are expected to work hard and are supported by 1:1 tutorials. Timetables allow periods for relaxation and to socialise between lesson which students are expected to attend on time. The College’s open-access areas, resource centres & IT facilities allow all students the opportunity of being able to complete all research and course work on campus.

Facilities

Students and staff are enjoying the luxury of learning, socialising and working in a modern purpose-built environment.

Facilities include:

  • Cafeteria serving a wide range of food plus Coffee ‘Pod’ in the Street plus numerous vending machines
  • The Street – the atrium at the centre of the main building and social area where students can relax or play table tennis, pool etc.
  • Open access IT facilities, Learning Resource Centre and break-out areas
  • Well-equipped gym that is open to all on a regular basis
  • A bespoke Hair & Beauty Lounge which is also open to the public
  • A large secure car park with swipe-barrier access
  • A theatre and dance studio

 

Open Events

All are welcome to these events - there's no need to book a place.

Our Open Events give you an opportunity to explore our fantastic new building and facilities in your own time. You will also be able to meet tutors and ask questions about the courses.

Staff from our Student Advisory Services and the Learning Support team will also be available to answer your questions and give general advice and guidance.

By train: Take the Central Line to Debden – just 2 minutes walk from the College.  (It is 15 minutes on the train from Stratford). 

By bus: The following bus routes have stops either outside the College or a couple of minutes walk away.  Buses are 20; 66; 167; 250; 255; 397; 541; 575; 804 

By road: The College is a ten minute drive from junction 26 on the M25 and a five minute drive from junction 5 of the M11

Parking: Our new campus has ample parking with disabled and visitor parking to the front of the main building. If you require special access please contact Reception on 020 8508 8311.

How to enrol

Complete an appropriate Application Form that can be downloaded from our website, or you can use the Application Form that can be found in the course guides.

Types of Application Forms:

  • For Full time courses
  • For qualification part time courses Route A
  • For part time leisure courses Route B ( you can also enrol over the telephone)

Send your application form to the College. We will let you know as soon as it has arrived. You will then be called in for an interview if appropriate.

At interview you can discuss the course and other options with a qualified teacher.

We will make sure that you are put on the right course.
