Student success story

A former City College Catering student has launched a new pop-up restaurant with two fellow ex-students which has already built up a local reputation for culinary excellence. With an emphasis on locally-sourced, organic and free-range produce, ‘Isaac at Gloucester Street’ is the brainchild of Isaac Bartlett-Copeland (22) with Nima Karam (23) and Kyle Newman (20) completing his core team. Isaac says: “It’s not coincidental that we’re all from City College as anyone who wants to become a chef in Brighton will go to the College to get trained. Being there gives you a lot of confidence.” For more success stories, see the City College blog.

At City College Open Evenings, tutors from all departments are available speak to visitors about the full range of course opportunities.
