As our apprentice of the year Keith Fenwick proved – you are never too old to learn something new. Since Adult Learners’ Week has just gone, commemorating the transformational power of lifelong learning, we've just launched our Cash for a Course Award, giving five lucky winners the chance to get learning with £200 towards a course of their choice. Whether you want to try cupcake making or learn the skills to start your own business, we want to give you the money to make your dreams a reality.
Run by NIACE, the Adult Learners’ Week now reaches its 23rd year, highlighting how adult learning improves and enhances social cohesion and has been proven to boost self-esteem and encourage self-confidence. This year’s week formed part of the longer Festival of Learning – an initiative run from the wider education sector during May and June, offering thousands of opportunities to learn something new and discover how learning can change lives.
David Hughes, CEO of NIACE adds, ’We want people of all ages to take this opportunity to have a go at learning something new, then to pass it on by telling others about their experience. I hope that people take advantage of this event and recognise that you’re never too old to learn.’ Whether you are 18 or 80, learning is essential.
The proportion of adult learners participating in education is in decline, particularly for those aged 30-49 and here at Hotcourses we want this to change. Our Cash for a Course Award – gives learners of all ages the chance to return to the classroom and win money towards the course of their dreams in one of five subject areas. Interested?
