After hearing about what students can learn on the course from tutor Sue Brahams and what a current student thinks about the course, we wanted to bring this series full circle and show where an Access to Teacher Training course could take you.
George Tonge, a third-year student at the University of Winchester, studying a BA in Primary Education is exploring other options outside of teaching. Though he hasn’t picked a distinct path as yet, he explained that the skills he gained from his degree are transferable to a number of other areas.
These include business management, leisure and tourism, hospitality and even theatre.
If there’s one thing we’ve learnt is that Access to Teacher Training is more versatile than we thought. The most crucial aspect of this course is that fact that it welcomes students from all types of backgrounds. You don’t need to have an outstanding educational history to be able to enrol on this course.
