Founded in 1841 and receiving the title of 'University' in 2006, York St John has a long and proud tradition of educating students. Its campus is just a stone's throw from the vibrant and bustling city centre of York. The 11-acre site is in a beautiful setting facing the world-famous York Minster, where our graduates enjoy the annual graduation ceremonies.

A major investment of over £70m in recent years has seen the development of exciting and cutting-edge buildings and facilities, including our brand new student accommodation which opened in autumn 2008. As a relatively small university, we get to know our students well and work hard to help you realise your own potential.
