Students become part of a writers' group, providing peer support in developing writing; theatre journalism work; submission of readers' reports on new scripts for performances in different media; projects that test, and develop capacities as a writer: writing a treatment for a television series; a short script for a staged reading; a short film, and a developed script for theatre production; the role of the writer in current production processes; 1 or more alternative modes of writing: writing live; writing advertisements; and writing for non-verbal performance; commissioning, and production protocols in different media; individual study; theoretical discussion, and enquiry addressing historical, ideological, and critical contexts within which traditions of writing have evolved.
