This programme is intended to support frontline staff working with children, young people and families or those looking to work in this sector; it is suitable for those who work: in children's centres; as social work assistants, as foster carers and in residential care; in youth and community settings or youth offending teams and those who work in the voluntary sector supporting children, young people and families.
Learning to learn in a workplace context; social policy background in relation to children, young people and families; safeguarding children and young people; effective communication in the workplace; the reflective practitioner; principles, values and ethics; equality and diversity in practice; leading and managing people; supporting children, young people and families during transitions; multi agency working and team working; children's development and behaviour, and the legal framework.
