Working Men’s College (WMC), the college for women and men in Camden, is a fantastic place to study.
Students love WMC's friendly atmosphere, our truly supportive teachers, the wide ranging student support, great facilities and café, the inspirational diversity - 'outstanding equality of opportunity'. We remain small enough to know all our students and to respond to their individual needs.
WMC is based in Camden Town, one of the must culturally exciting, diverse and dynamic locations. We are just a few steps from Koko and Mornington Crescent tube; close to St Pancras International (and Paris), the British Library, Camden Lock Market, the Roundhouse and just round the corner from loads of shops, pubs, bars, restaurants, clubs, and music, drama and art venues.
Sitting inside our 1904 listed building with its stunning Victoriana, wonderful Old Libraryand arts and crafts ceiling you will find bright airy studios dedicated for jewellery, ceramics, art, art, fashion and digital media plus great PC/Mac and library areas. Students rush to our light-filled Ruskin Café for good home cooked food, study and lively discussion.
Working Men's College is 'outstanding at meeting the needs and interests of learners' said Ofsted in 2008. Ofsted also said WMC has outstanding advice and guidance, teaching and learning, and outstanding achievement and standards. So, altogether the best place for adults to learn in central London. Not surprising given our history. Founded in 1854 to bring 'liberal arts to the working man', and merged in 1967 with its sister Working Women's College, WMC is the oldest adult education institution in Europe - and still delivering outstanding results for adults.
