The Working Men's College (WMC) has already made dramatic improvements to its striking and delightful building, originally purpose built for it in 1904 with Arts & Crafts features. WMC now has ambitious plans for the next stage of the College's development, and hopes all students past and present will get involved in the current £1,000,000 Appeal.

The WMC café is much used by students for discussions between classes (and homework) as well as for enjoying the range of home cooked food on offer, which includes Brazilian food.

WMC's Centre for Student Affairs helps make the following services available to students:

DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT: for students who have identified they have a learning difficulty and all students on Skills for Life Courses.

INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT: and/or SUPPORT WORKSHOPS and/or PERSONAL TUTOR SUPPORT to students needing additional support on mainstream programmes, with feedback on progress.

DYSLEXIA SUPPORT: from a specialist dyslexia support tutor for students assessed as dyslexic.

COUNSELLING: from the College Counsellor, on a confidential basis, and without charge.

WELFARE ADVICE and SUPPORT: for students with financial worries or facing homelessness.

ACCESS: arrangements which are constantly improved to ensure accessibility for all students.
