This course is designed to appeal to a wide range of professions and organisations which provide services for young people; students develop a critical understanding of the way young people operate and an understanding and practical experience of engaging with them.
Level 1: Learning theory and youth development, ethics and values; applied social sciences and anti-oppressive practice; social policy and integrated working; work-based skills and child protection. Level 2: An independent study module; practice placement/work-based skills; managed projects within a community; issue-based work with young people.
