The academic provision of Wimbledon College of Art is divided into three schools - School of Foundation Studies, School of Fine Art and School of Theatre. These deliver a suite of specialist art and design courses ranging from pre-foundation and foundation to undergraduate and postgraduate, as well as providing research supervision for students undertaking a research programme of study.

In addition to full time and accredited courses the College also provides Short Courses in everything from Fine Art, Creative Software and Film & Photography, through to the more specialist areas of Theatre, Costume and Screen and Art Theory.
All courses are taught by practicing artists and designers who use their professional experience to inform the curriculum.

Located on the Merton Hall Road, the School of Fine Art provides excellent learning opportunities through the provision of dedicated specialist undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in painting, sculpture, print and digital media and time-based media. Also based at the Merton Hall Road, the School of Theatre is the largest centre in the UK offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in design and related studies for stage, screen, costume and special effects.

Based at Palmerston Road, the School of Foundation Studies provides a wide range of learning opportunities for anyone interested in starting an art and design education.

Ours is a close-knit, creative community where students develop their own work with the support of a range of staff from the Fine Art and Theatre professions. The College has excellent studios, workshops, exhibition and theatre spaces and social facilities, which have recently been enhanced by a major new building providing purpose built postgraduate studios.

All tutors are practicing artists or designers who bring a wide range of professional knowledge and experience to their teaching.

In 2004 the College received 'Broad Confidence' the highest possible rating awarded by the Quality Assurance Agency and in 2005 the College's Foundation Course was graded '1 - Outstanding,' the highest possible score an institution can receive from OFSTED, the Office for Standards in Education.

Courses include;

Short Courses in subject areas including; Art theory, Creative Software, Fine Art, Illustration, Film & Photography, Printmaking, Jewellery, Craft, Theatre Costume & Screen, Fashion, Portolio Preparation and courses for 11 - 15 year olds.
