Course Description
This course is a web design and evelopment centred course, which also allows students to gain experience in the associated areas of graphic and interactive design. The course content and structure encourage students to learn the theoretical background to the topics covered and to apply this, creatively, to the production process. The course also ensures that students will have the necessary skills to continue developing and adapting to the changes in this fast-paced industry. Individual practical time and experimentation are essential components of the course. Essential skils and techniques are taught in a creative atmosphere with a strong emphasis on the practical application of design and theoretical concepts. The curriculum strongly reflects the industry, giving students an excellent chance of stepping into their dream job. Successful completion of the Diploma level gives graduates the possibility to continue their studies towards a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Multimedia Arts.Course content includes: Computing Basics; Graphics and Content Integration; Web Design - Entertainment; Web Design - Standards Compliant; Web Development; Online Data Storage; Future Interactive Design; Project Management.
Course Fees
Course fees for 2007 were: £6950 + registration fee of £350 with a £400 discount available for the payment of all tuition fees prior to commencement.

Assessment method
The SAE Creative Media Diploma is widely recognised in the creative media industry. This programme is assessed using a 20-point marking scheme. This assessment is split equally over practical work and theory. The theoretical component is made up of a number of progress tests as well as a major final examination and project. The practical element includes the on-going presentation of a range of documented projects. In order to qualify for the Creative Media Diploma, candidates need to reach an overall assessed grade of 16 or above.
Entry Requirements
Minimum age 17. Minimum of two grade C GCSEs (or equivalent) or adult entry (21 years of age) or Qantm Basic Media Certificate. Spoken and written English.
