Learning Packages (LP) form the basis for study and there are between 3 and 7 LPs per unit; each LP has a set of comprehensive self-contained study sessions, containing the fundamentals of theory and application with respect to principles and concepts, processes and practice required for understanding of wastes management collection, storage and disposal methodologies and of environmental monitoring and management strategies; where appropriate the LPs also include a variety of magazine articles and other reference materials as well as further reading lists; work-based learning module is undertaken at the student's place of employment.
Include: Bioprocessing and thermal recovery of wastes; landfill processes; waste collection, sorting and transfer; work based learning in the wastes industry.

Not much previous knowledge needed, u need to be willing to study theses areas and have a general interest. Teachers are great always there to help and u get a lot well double the amount u initially want which is great!!...more
