The programme is intended for those who wish to engage in further original research but without committing themselves to the PhD with visual media programme; students work together with a supervisor to produce a thesis, which includes original fieldwork and the making of an ethnographic film of a maximum duration of 40 minutes; it may also be based entirely on 2nd-hand bibliographic and filmographic or other visual media source.
