Course Description
The course is ideal for those who would like a career in veterinary nursing; it is appropriate for learners working in veterinary practice with a love of animals. All aspects are veterinary nursing are covered in the courses - Level 2 - Health and Safety, Communication, Record Keeping and Practice Organisation, Anatomy and Physiology, Principles of Animal Management and Nursing.

Assessment method
The course involves enrolment with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons; attendance to class once a week is essential in preparation for external examinationThe course also involves collecting evidence within the workplace to build up a portfolio of case logs. A C Training offers continuous support via telephone, email, letters and visits.

Entry Requirements
The requirements are five GCSEs including Mathematics, English Language and Science at grade C or above; or the completion of the Animal Nursing Assistant course with Key Skills in Application of Number and Communication at Level 2. The learner must be working in an approved RCVS Training Practice. A strong interest in animal welfare is essential.
