Course Description
This vocationally-based Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons qualification will enable you to develop knowledge and skills important in the handling and caring of animals in a veterinary environment. You will become proficient in assisting with operations, managing the aftercare of animals, offering customer care and support and overseeing the daily running of the practice.The course provides a combination of theoretical and practical teaching from our experienced and established veterinary nursing team. Upon the successful completion of your Level 2 and Level 3 RCVS examinations, you will be professionally recognised as a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse.
Assessment method
Students will be assessed through one 1000 word reflective Case Study,two written RCVS examinations at Level 2 and Level 3, eight oral/practical RCVS examinations at Level 3.
Entry Requirements
Five Cs at GCSE level, including English Language, Maths, Science or a relevant further education qualification such as the BVNA Certificate in Animal Nursing.You must be 17 years old or over and work within an RCVS Approved Training Practice before applying for the course.For more information about relevant qualifications and approved practices, visit the RCVS website at www.rcvs.org.uk
