The content of this qualification is designed to meet the needs of candidates who want to work as chefs in the catering and hospitality sector by providing them with a wide range of high quality cooking skills that can be applied across a range of catering contexts.
Students will need to come to College for an interview and short test. They also should have a reasonable understanding of Maths and English and in the possession of a VRQ level 1 certificate in Hospitality. They should be aged 16 to 18.
