"I loved my first year at Lampeter University so much I refused to return the key to my room! It’s still buried at the bottom of my purse with the remains of my student loan. As soon as I drove into the university town I knew I never wanted to leave: I might just buy a pair of wellies and beg a local farmer to let me live on his farm!

The cost of living is so much cheaper than in a big city. The students' union and night club is always buzzing with atmosphere, events and friendly faces. And if you’ve come to university to study you’re guaranteed a personal tutor and small class sizes. This year, my tutor’s were always there to talk to if I needed them. There’s also guaranteed accommodation in the first year which makes life that little bit easier.
