Six of the most innovative art and design colleges make up the University's creative community: Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, Chelsea College of Art and Design, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion and Wimbledon College of Art. It is Europe's largest university for art, design, fashion, communication and the performing arts. Entertainment
The Students' Union organises a wide range of events for students, including an annual exhibition of students' work in the Arts Gallery. There are many thriving student clubs and societies, which range from film, dance, theatre to sports and leisure. Each College has a lively bar and social scene. Being in the heart of London offers a wide range of bars, clubs, galleries and theatres.
Accommodation
University of the Arts London currently operates 11 properties throughout London, providing bedspaces for 2242 students from September 2008. Accommodation Advisors are available to give guidance on how to apply to Halls or how to find a house or flat. The Accommodation Advice Centre at Davies Street is open all year.
Fees and Funding
Students in receipt of the full Government maintenance grant of £2,765 will receive a bursary of £305 per year. Students who receive a proportion of the new maintenance grant will be eligible to apply for an Access Bursary of £1,000 per year. The University will award 320 new bursaries of £1,000 (in addition to the £305 bursaries) for students in receipt of a maintenance grant.
