The University of Teesside is a modern university dedicated to delivering quality programmes of study that are academically stimulating and provide a solid basis for exciting and rewarding careers. There are currently more than 22,000 students studying at Teesside on a range of courses, from diplomas and first degrees to postgraduate qualifications; over 2,000 students study at postgraduate level. We are located on a single large campus in Middlesbrough centre and have benefitted from investment of around £100m in recent years.

Taught Courses
Many courses are orientated towards specific industries while others provide a qualification with a broad base that can be useful for a variety of careers. Research Programmes
We have leading researchers in areas as varied as virtual environments, obesity, forensics and social policy. Our research centres also collaborate with national and international academic, industrial and public sector partners. Our Graduate Research School is a central support office for all aspects of research at Teesside including funding and research degrees. Teesside has won five National Teaching Fellowships for excellence in teaching. The Quality Assurance Agency has expressed confidence in our academic standards and quality.

Fees and Funding
UK AND EUROPEAN STUDENTS
The standard tuition fee for most full-time taught and research postgraduate programmes in 2007-08 is £3,850 per year. Taught courses normally take one year to complete. The MBA fee is £8,300
Postgraduate bursary*

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Full-time courses per year for 2008-09 are:
£8,000 for undergraduate classroom-based courses
£8,500 for undergraduate laboratory-based courses
£8,250 for postgraduate classroom-based courses
£8,750 for postgraduate laboratory-based courses
£11,000 for the MBA Master of Business Administration.

International bursary
Worth £1,500 a year to all full fee paying students. Available as a fee reduction. International students who pay their fees in full on or before enrolment will receive a 5% discount.
